The Scoop on Scooped
Delaware County Institute of Science · Media, PA

A free public lecture at the Delaware County Institute of Science in which Scooped Ice Cream owner Kyle Lefkof explains the chemistry and craft behind his Media shop's micro-batch ice cream, offered in person in the Lecture Hall and via Zoom.
Expect a relaxed, community-style science talk in the institute's historic lecture hall, surrounded by its old-school natural history exhibits — the kind of room where neighbors gather for the venue's monthly lecture series. Kyle Lefkof, who runs the popular Scooped shop on State Street, will walk through how micro-batch ice cream is actually made, blending food science with the story of a local small business. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. with the talk starting at 7:30, and you can attend in person or stream it over Zoom if you'd rather stay home.
