Teen Volunteer Time (ages 11-17 only)
Media Library · Media, PA
A registration-required, drop-in-style volunteer session where teens ages 11-17 earn service hours by helping library staff with tasks like shelf organizing, cleaning, and prepping children's craft materials in the children's room.
Attendees check in at the children's room and are handed whatever tasks the library needs that day — shelving, tidying, or cutting out pieces for upcoming kids' craft programs — with staff on hand to direct the work. It's a relaxed, lightly physical 90 minutes of practical service alongside other local teens rather than a structured program, and arriving late or leaving early can be arranged in advance. Volunteers who need proof of hours can request a verification letter, though they're expected to track their own time.
