Children ages 5 and up can sign up to read aloud to Rose, a trained therapy dog from PAWS for People, in 10-minute sessions designed to build reading confidence.
After checking in at the children's room, kids wait their turn for up to 10 minutes of one-on-one reading time with Rose, a gentle therapy dog. The atmosphere is low-pressure and supportive — a non-judgmental listener helps reluctant or early readers feel more comfortable practicing aloud. Parents can expect a quiet, cozy library setting with a handful of families cycling through their turns during the hour.
