Children ages 5 and up can sign up for a 10-minute slot to read aloud to Coco, a trained PAWS for People therapy dog, in a supportive environment designed to build reading confidence.
After checking in at the children's room, kids wait their turn (in check-in order) for up to 10 minutes of one-on-one reading time with Coco, a gentle therapy dog. The atmosphere is quiet and low-pressure — no judgment or correction, just a patient furry listener — making it ideal for reluctant or anxious readers. Parents can stay nearby while their child reads, and the whole session runs about an hour with multiple children cycling through.
