A drop-in storytime at the Media-Upper Providence Free Library designed exclusively for babies who are not yet walking comfortably, combining stories, songs, movement, and puppets with caregiver social time.
Caregivers arrive with their pre-walking babies and head upstairs to the library's large room, where a youth services librarian leads a gentle hour of stories, bounce rhymes, egg shakers, and puppet play. After the structured portion, the room shifts to free play while parents and caregivers chat and connect with one another. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with strollers welcome and an elevator available, and the non-walking-only rule keeps the space safe and developmentally suited to the youngest attendees.
