Mineralogy of Delaware County
Delaware County Institute of Science · Media, PA

A free public lecture by Ron Sloto on the mineralogy of Delaware County, presented in person in the Delaware County Institute of Science's upstairs Lecture Hall and simultaneously via Zoom.
Expect a classic community-science evening: doors open at 7:00 p.m., and you'll head upstairs to the Institute's historic Lecture Hall, where an audience of local science enthusiasts, rockhounds, and curious neighbors gathers for the 7:30 p.m. talk. The setting is fitting — the Institute holds a large mineral collection with specimens from famous localities in the area, plus the original plates from the 1922 Mineralogy of Pennsylvania, so the talk pairs naturally with the surroundings. If you can't make it in person, a Zoom option lets you attend remotely.
