MAC Original Playreading Series: Of Mice and Minotaurs by Dan West
Media Fellowship House · Media, PA
A staged reading of Dan West's original play "Of Mice and Minotaurs," presented as part of the Media Arts Council's Original Playreading Series at the Media Fellowship House.
Expect a low-key, script-in-hand reading of a new play rather than a fully staged production, with actors at music stands or chairs and minimal design. The focus is on the writing and the audience's response, so the room tends to feel informal and conversational, often with a short talkback or Q&A afterward. It's a small, community-minded crowd — the kind of setting where you can settle in for two hours and get a first look at a script still being developed.
Media Fellowship HouseSet in a historic house with deep roots in Media's civil rights history, Media Fellowship House offers an intimate, community-focused gathering space where live events feel more like a neighborhood celebration than a formal performance. The welcoming atmosphere reflects the organization's decades-long mission of fostering fellowship, dialogue, and inclusion across diverse communities.
