Jawn of the Dead ~ Grateful Dead
Sat Sep 12·8:30 pm - 11:55 pm
Live Music

A high-energy Philadelphia Grateful Dead tribute jam band that channels the Dead's improvisational tradition while weaving in non-Dead covers and spontaneous surprises across rock, blues, jazz, folk, country, bluegrass, gospel, reggae, and psychedelia.

Expect a two-guitar-driven jam outfit that treats every set as an unpredictable ride, moving from Dead classics like 'Bertha' and 'Terrapin Station' into left-field covers such as 'Tomorrow Never Knows' or 'Wichita Lineman,' all stitched together with extended improvisational passages and spacey interludes. With keyboards, harp, and a shared vocal rotation that includes a female lead, the band leans into the Dead's eclectic spirit — one moment locked into a bluesy groove, the next drifting through country-folk or reggae-tinged territory before crashing back into a high-energy rock finish.
