Charlie And The Chocolate Factory
The Media Theatre · Media, PA
A family-friendly matinee performance of the Roald Dahl musical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, staged at The Media Theatre as part of its holiday-season run.
Expect a full staged musical production of Willy Wonka's factory tour, with colorful sets, big production numbers and a cast of eccentric characters built for kids and the adults accompanying them. A 2:00 PM Christmas Eve matinee means a daytime, out-the-door-before-dinner pace, with a theater crowd of families and grandparents rather than a late-night audience. The 440-seat house keeps it intimate enough that the on-stage spectacle feels close.
The Media TheatreA historic 440-seat theater on State Street, the Media Theatre opened in 1927 as a vaudeville house and cinema and still retains its English Renaissance decor. The intimate setting and strong acoustics make it a beloved spot for live musicals, plays, and concerts in the heart of downtown Media.
