Charlie And The Chocolate Factory
The Media Theatre · Media, PA
A family-friendly stage musical adaptation of Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, following Charlie Bucket and four other golden-ticket winners through Willy Wonka's fantastical factory.
Expect a colorful, kid-oriented musical with big production numbers, quirky characters, and the familiar golden-ticket story arc playing out on a historic 440-seat stage. A 2:00 PM matinee draws a mixed crowd of families with children, grandparents, and local theater regulars, so the atmosphere is relaxed and interactive rather than formal. The show leans on spectacle and humor, making it an easy, crowd-pleasing outing that runs a bit over two hours with an intermission.
