Charlie And The Chocolate Factory
The Media Theatre · Media, PA
A family-friendly stage musical adaptation of Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, following Charlie Bucket and four other golden-ticket winners through Willy Wonka's fantastical factory.
Expect a colorful, song-filled afternoon-style production built for kids and the adults accompanying them, with the familiar golden-ticket plot, eccentric Wonka characters, and big production numbers from the Broadway version's score. A 10:00 AM curtain points to a morning performance, likely with a school-group or young-audience crowd, so the room may skew toward families and field-trip groups rather than a late-night theater crowd. The 440-seat historic Media Theatre keeps sightlines and acoustics intimate enough that the spectacle still feels close-up.
