Charlie And The Chocolate Factory
The Media Theatre · Media, PA
A family-friendly stage musical adaptation of Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, following Charlie Bucket and four other golden-ticket winners through Willy Wonka's fantastical factory.
Expect a full-scale musical production with colorful sets, costumed characters, and songs drawn from the Broadway and film versions, staged in a historic 440-seat theater. The 3:00 PM Sunday matinee draws a mixed crowd of families with kids, grandparents, and local theater regulars, so the atmosphere is relaxed and intermission-friendly rather than formal. A reported opening promotion handed out Wonka bars with golden tickets for a local chocolate shop tour, so small themed touches and audience participation are part of the fun.
