Charlie And The Chocolate Factory
The Media Theatre · Media, PA
A regional production of the Roald Dahl musical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, staged at Media's historic 440-seat theater as part of its 2026/27 Broadway Series holiday run.
Expect a full-scale musical staging of Willy Wonka's factory inside a 1927 vaudeville-era house, with the Broadway version's score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman plus the familiar Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley songs. The room will lean family: kids on school break, grandparents in tow, and a crowd that reacts out loud to the golden-ticket reveals and the Oompa-Loompas. It's a polished, easygoing evening of theater rather than a risky or experimental one — arrive early for the lobby and stay for the post-show buzz on State Street.
