Bones Brigade ~ Jerry Garcia & Grateful Dead Tribute

Shere-E-Punjab · Media, PA

Bones Brigade is a Philadelphia-area tribute act devoted to the Jerry Garcia songbook, playing two sets drawn from Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia Band material.

Expect a long, loose set built from the Garcia songbook — Grateful Dead standards and Jerry Garcia Band material played with the rambling, exploratory feel the songs were written for. The band leans into extended jams and easy, rolling grooves, so familiar tunes stretch out and breathe rather than getting a note-for-note reprise, and the set tends to swing between shuffling, danceable numbers and slower, gospel-tinged ballads.
