Afternoon Knitting
Media Library · Media, PA

A twice-monthly afternoon knitting and crocheting circle at the Media-Upper Providence Free Library where adult beginners and experienced crafters work on their own projects and on hats and scarves for veterans and people experiencing homelessness.
Expect a relaxed, come-as-you-are afternoon in a library meeting room, with a mix of newcomers learning basic stitches and experienced knitters and crocheters working through their own patterns. Instruction and troubleshooting are part of the format, so bringing a stalled project or a holiday gift idea in progress is the point rather than an afterthought. Much of the table's attention is on group charity projects — hats and scarves for veterans and neighbors without housing — which gives the session a shared, purposeful feel alongside the socializing.
